وَإِسْمَٰعِيلَ وَإِدْرِيسَ وَذَا ٱلْكِفْلِ كُلٌّ مِّنَ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ

38:48

وَٱذْكُرْ إِسْمَٰعِيلَ وَٱلْيَسَعَ وَذَا ٱلْكِفْلِ وَكُلٌّ مِّنَ ٱلْأَخْيَارِ

Why this meaning was chosen

Care for Mary and Moses anchors assumed responsibility; God as كفيل anchors guarantee; and كفل as a resulting share records what attaches to a person's act. The two ذو الكفل tokens are isolated as a proper title because Quran-internal syntax identifies a person but does not lexicalize the title's component.
