وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ شَٰمِخَٰتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَٰكُم مَّآءً فُرَاتًا
Why this meaning was chosen
All three adjective occurrences qualify water. Two contrast this fresh water with salty, intensely unpleasant water, and one names the water given for people to drink. Case remains compositional.
