Why this meaning was chosen
Quran-internal comparison across all 61 family occurrences supports direct contact as the shared core. Most clauses profile a condition, benefit, harm, punishment, fatigue, age, or satanic influence directly affecting a person. Concrete clauses use contact with the she-camel, fire, oil, or the protected text; marriage and conception contexts profile intimate contact; لا مساس names a state of prohibited contact. No protected or pre-run meaning was edited, and no exact segment set forces a lexical collision.
