مَا كَانَ إِبْرَٰهِيمُ يَهُودِيًّا وَلَا نَصْرَانِيًّا وَلَٰكِن كَانَ حَنِيفًا مُّسْلِمًا وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ

Why this meaning was chosen

Quran-internal reconciliation of all 158 occurrences (130 frozen targets and 28 protected draft-owned occurrences). The compacted 'supporter' candidate at 2:107 fits the agent rendering of this core. Verbal forms, aid/victory nouns, agents, reflexive, reciprocal, and requestive forms compose from it. The lone frozen Nasrani proper label is isolated because Quranic coordination and contrast make an aid-agent reading incoherent.
