18:96

ءَاتُونِى زُبَرَ ٱلْحَدِيدِ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا سَاوَىٰ بَيْنَ ٱلصَّدَفَيْنِ قَالَ ٱنفُخُوا۟ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَعَلَهُۥ نَارًا قَالَ ءَاتُونِىٓ أُفْرِغْ عَلَيْهِ قِطْرًا

Why this meaning was chosen

Form I with عَنْ repeatedly depicts people turning their orientation away from God's signs. The dual noun identifies the two opposed sides between which Dhul-Qarnayn builds. The verb and noun therefore share sideward orientation without requiring a separate lexical root.
