Why this meaning was chosen
Quran-internal review covered all three occurrences of جُزْء. Abraham places a portion of the birds on each mountain, a portion of Hell's people is assigned to each gate, and people impiously make a portion of God's servants belong to Him. Physical division, allocation, and attributed membership preserve one part-whole core. Case variation does not change that core.
