7:154

وَلَمَّا سَكَتَ عَن مُّوسَى ٱلْغَضَبُ أَخَذَ ٱلْأَلْوَاحَ وَفِى نُسْخَتِهَا هُدًى وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّلَّذِينَ هُمْ لِرَبِّهِمْ يَرْهَبُونَ

45:29

هَٰذَا كِتَٰبُنَا يَنطِقُ عَلَيْكُم بِٱلْحَقِّ إِنَّا كُنَّا نَسْتَنسِخُ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

Why this meaning was chosen

The two Form I contexts establish authoritative content against something prior: a sign is followed by one better or equal, and Satan's casting is removed before God's signs are confirmed. The noun identifies what is inscribed on the tablets, while Form X describes the recording of deeds in a speaking book.
