35:27

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِهِۦ ثَمَرَٰتٍ مُّخْتَلِفًا أَلْوَٰنُهَا وَمِنَ ٱلْجِبَالِ جُدَدٌۢ بِيضٌ وَحُمْرٌ مُّخْتَلِفٌ أَلْوَٰنُهَا وَغَرَابِيبُ سُودٌ

Why this meaning was chosen

Quran-internal review covered all six occurrences. Five singular or plural حِمَار targets denote the animal: it is ridden, brays, carries books, flees, and appears in the restored-life sign. The sole حُمْر at 35:27 is instead an exact-segment lexical collision: it coordinates with white and black as the color of mountain streaks, a role incompatible with the zoological core. The aligned-reading field supplies no variant requiring a separate rule. No protected meaning was edited.
