Why this meaning was chosen

Quran-internal review covered all four occurrences in the continuous 6:76-78 observation sequence. A star, the moon, and the sun each first appear visibly and then undergo the Form I event; the active participle generalizes the same property to bodies that do so. The repeated contrast with visible rising anchors disappearance from view rather than destruction. The aligned-reading field supplies no variant requiring a separate rule. No protected meaning was edited and no exact lexical collision was found.
