ثُمَّ يَأْتِى مِنۢ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ سَبْعٌ شِدَادٌ يَأْكُلْنَ مَا قَدَّمْتُمْ لَهُنَّ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا مِّمَّا تُحْصِنُونَ

No compacted proposal or failure required adoption. Seven aligned witnesses were inspected at 2:174, 4:10, 5:42, 12:48, 34:14, 89:19, and 105:5. At 89:19 Al-Duri and Al-Susi display third-person plural ويأكلون where the other aligned witnesses display second-person plural وتأكلون; the referent shift does not change the consumption branch.
