Why this meaning was chosen

Quran-internal review covered the sole occurrence of Form IV تُشْمِتْ at 7:150. After Moses seizes Aaron by the head, Aaron explains that the people overpowered him and nearly killed him, then pleads that Moses not perform this action with the enemies against him and not place him among the wrongdoers. The hostile observers, Aaron's public humiliation, and بِ complement establish giving enemies cause to rejoice maliciously at his plight. The form is jussive after prohibitive لَا and is syntactically addressed to Moses; the stored feature string labels the ambiguous ت prefix as 3FS, which does not affect the lexical judgment. The aligned-reading field supplies no variant requiring a separate rule; no protected meaning was edited and no exact lexical collision was found.
